STL Handpans

STL is short for Stainless.

Stainless steel instruments are another one of the successful experiments of our workshop.

In the summer of 2016, we decided to conduct a series of tests with this material. Several grades of stainless steel were taken, from which we made several handpans. We couldn’t even imagine what kind of result we could expect. But in the end we were very pleasantly surprised how great this material can sound! It is characterized by a very bright sound with a long sustain with it’s own characteristic timbre. Now stainless steel handpans are very popular among both professional musicians and beginners. They are used for meditation and yoga classes because of their special soundind.

Also, STL instruments are well protected from moisture and are not prone to corrosion. STL instruments are a real find for people who love to travel, play near the sea, in the mountains, in forest camps, etc.
